Wyoming Gaming Commission Report Finds Sports Bettors Are Not Being “Limited”

Date:

No, Wyoming sportsbooks aren’t out to get you, unless you’re a little too good at betting.

The Wyoming Gaming Commission just dropped a new report on sports betting limitations, and the headline is pretty clear:

Less than 1% of state bettors are being limited by operators like FanDuel, DraftKings, Caesars, BetMGM, and Fanatics.

According to Special Agent (yes, really) Michael Steinberg 🎖️, those who are limited usually trigger red flags for what he called… wait for it… “cheating.”

But let’s not get dramatic. No one’s hacking slot machines or robbing bookies in ski masks 🥷. We’re talking about:

🎯 Placing live bets ahead of the televised feed
👯 Teaming up with buddies to nudge betting lines
📱 Racking up promo codes with a small army of email addresses

Steinberg emphasized the limits are generally reasonable — $500 or $1,000 max on certain wagers, not the “pennies” some feared.

🗣️ “We did not find that here in Wyoming,” he said of micro-limits. “Nothing extreme, nothing concerning.”
