🎤 Meet the Woman Behind Jackson’s Most Stylish Boutique
In a town known for its rugged mountains and Western charm, Andi Dornan is adding a little rock ‘n’ roll to the retail scene. As the founder and owner of Penny Lane Jackson Hole, Andi has spent nearly a decade curating affordable, on-trend fashion for locals and visitors alike. We sat down with her to talk about the inspiration behind the boutique, her favorite decades for style, and what keeps her rooted in Jackson. Spoiler: it involves long walks, a love of Kate Hudson, and a deep belief in making everyone feel welcome.
What inspired you to open Penny Lane in Jackson Hole?
I opened Penny Lane almost 9 years ago! There was an obvious hole in the market for affordable, on-trend apparel. I wanted to provide stylish clothing for the everyday gal, working mom, twenty-something heading out for the night, and really everyone in between. It’s still my mission to stay price-conscious when buying for our customers, while also focusing on quality and timelessness.
The name Penny Lane—Beatles fan or something deeper?
I get a lot of questions about that! Naming the store was a process… I took a lot of long walks and did branding exercises to find something that evoked a feeling. I love the fashion of the ’60s and ’70s, and I’m also a big fan of the movie Almost Famous and Kate Hudson. With all of that in mind, Penny Lane was born.
Who do you envision walking into Penny Lane?
Everyone. Truly. Some of my best customers are over 60. I’ve got grandmothers shopping our Mini Penny section while their daughters shop for themselves. My hope has always been that Penny Lane feels welcoming and inclusive—no boundaries, just style.

How do you decide what makes the cut when buying for the store?
I do most of the buying in LA and Vegas, attending markets where we get to see collections from all the brands we carry. We’re always buying about six months ahead—so yes, it’s a game of predictions! I aim for a mix of trend-forward pieces, reliable basics, and forever classics. And of course, price and quality are always top of mind.

What’s the best part of running a boutique in Jackson Hole?
Hands down, it’s the people. Owning a small business here has given me the chance to form deep, meaningful relationships. I’ve become close friends with women I met because they shop at Penny Lane. We’ve shared joys, sorrows, and everyday highs and lows. That sense of community is one of the biggest blessings of having a storefront.
Have you always had a knack for fashion and design?
I graduated from Purdue in 2004 with a degree in Retail Management, and I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember. My style and aesthetic have evolved with time, just like the store itself.
