JACKSON, WY โ The latest commercial flight data for August 2025 shows strong growth across the board at Jackson Hole Airport (JAC), with passenger counts and takeoffs all rising by double digits compared to last year.
By the Numbers:
- Passengers Enplaned (departing): 76,248 โ up 13.6% year-over-year
- Passengers Deplaned (arriving): 76,819 โ up 16.0%
- Aircraft Takeoffs: 760 โ up 16.4%
- Year-to-date: Total commercial passengers are up around 9% compared to 2024
United Airlines continues to lead Jacksonโs commercial market, flying 34,491 passengers out of JAC in August โ roughly 45% of the monthโs total. American Airlines followed with 24,216 passengers, while Delta carried 14,591 and Alaska 2,950.

Perspective Check:
Before anyone pictures a packed airport terminal shoulder to shoulder with travelers, hereโs the kicker โ these numbers only cover commercial flights. Private aviation, which accounts for roughly 70% of all flight activity at Jackson Hole Airport, isnโt included in this data. So while the commercial side is seeing healthy gains, the vast majority of takeoffs and landings at JAC are still private jets and chartered aircraft.
Takeaway:
More commercial flights mean more visitors filling hotels, rental cars, and trailheads, good news for local tourism and businesses. But for residents near the airport, the constant hum of takeoffs (plus all those private jets) might be making the Tetons sound a little less peaceful these days.
