Jackson may be known for world-class mountains, but make no mistake, we’ve got world-class meals to match. From cozy Italian bistros to shockingly fresh sushi, this town punches well above its weight when it comes to good eats.
Here’s a roundup of my favorite local spots as someone who grew up on the Westbank and has eaten my way across the valley more times than I can count:
Breakfast
Jackson’s breakfast scene is strong. Think rustic cabins, historic homes, and flaky pastries you’ll daydream about for weeks.
🥞 Nora’s Fish Creek Inn (Wilson)
Nora’s is a Westbank institution, and for good reason. Housed in a cozy cabin, this spot delivers diner-style classics with a local twist. From fluffy pancakes to hearty huevos rancheros (trust me, order it), it’s the perfect start to any day. They’ve recently added lunch and dinner, plus outdoor seating for those sunny coffee moments.
👀 Fun fact: Guy Fieri stopped here for Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, so expect a crowd — go early!
🥐 The Bunnery
Just steps from Town Square, The Bunnery is a family favorite. Their breakfast menu never misses, and the bakery case is legendary. Don’t leave without trying the sticky bun, you’ve been warned. It’s a beloved classic, and yes, it gets busy on weekends. Plan accordingly.
🥓 Cafe Genevieve
Set in the historic Van Vleck house, this quaint spot serves up Southern-inspired breakfasts with a Western twist. The “pig candy” (that’s caramelized bacon, for the uninitiated) is a must.
✅ Bonus: My mom and her family lived in this very house in the ’70s. Small town charm, right?
🍰 Persephone Bakery
If you like your breakfast with a side of Parisian flair, Persephone is your spot. This French-inspired café has heavenly pastries, great coffee, and a beautiful outdoor patio. It’s my personal favorite in town.
👀 Tip: Don’t sleep in, pastries go fast in peak season.
Lunch & Dinner
Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a long, delicious evening, Jackson has plenty to offer.
🥯 Pearl Street Bagels
Fast, local, and ridiculously good. Build your own sandwich on a fresh bagel, grab a strong coffee or a blended drink, and you’re good to go.
✅ My go-to? The Wild Tribe — a blended iced mocha with banana. Sounds weird, tastes amazing.
🌯 Pica’s Mexican Taqueria
This place is my ride-or-die. Pica’s is casual, consistently delicious, and full of locals any night of the week. Order at the counter, grab a seat, and don’t skip the margaritas (they pack a punch). My favorite? The Al Pastor Burrito “wet” with extra sauce.
🍱 King Sushi
Hidden in a tiny log cabin off Glenwood, King Sushi delivers seriously impressive rolls and Japanese dishes with fish flown in daily. It’s intimate and always packed; reservations are a must. Or snag a spot at the bar if you’re lucky.
🍔 Blue Collar Restaurant Group Favorites
Owned by a Jackson local, this group offers something for every craving:
- Liberty Burger – Burgers, sandwiches, and inventive combos you didn’t know you needed.
- Sidewinders – Classic sports bar with a family-friendly game room, hearty American fare, and all the big games on TV.
🍷 The Bistro (at The Cloudveil)
If you’re looking to dress things up a bit, The Bistro delivers with elevated French-American cuisine and a cozy-but-classy vibe. A great happy-hour spot as well.
👀 Pro tip: Grab a pre-dinner drink on The Cloudveil’s rooftop and take in the views.
🍝 Il Villaggio Osteria (Teton Village)
Post-ski carb-loading? Look no further. Osteria is the gold standard for Italian in the village. House-made pasta, beautiful ambiance, and a wine list worth exploring.
🍕Pinky G’s vs. Hand Fire Pizza
Pinky G’s is your quick-and-tasty slice stop with a rock-and-roll edge. Hand Fire is a sit-down experience in a historic theater with wood-fired pies and a warm, local feel. You really can’t go wrong with either.
🍜 Teton Thai & Teton Tiger
Craving Asian cuisine? Teton Thai in Teton Village serves up bold Thai flavors, while Teton Tiger brings spicy, satisfying Indian dishes to the heart of town. Both are beloved by locals for good reason.
Jackson’s food scene is bursting with options, and honestly, this list just scratches the surface. Whether it is summer crowds in full swing or peak ski season, reservations are your best friend.
And whether you’re dining at a family-run favorite or a fine-dining gem, don’t forget to tip well. Our hardworking local restaurant teams make the magic happen.
Eat well out there, and save me a sticky bun.
