Fire Activity

The fire was active overnight, with two primary heads pushing south and east-southeast while interior burning continued. No injuries or structural losses have been reported.

Two structure protection groups are working to defend vulnerable sites, including outfitter camps, feed lots, Red Cliff Bible Camp, and the historic Billy Wells Camp. Firefighters continue to improve containment lines and scout additional defensive perimeters, supported by substantial air resources.

Fire Restrictions

Stage 1 fire restrictions remain in effect on the Bridger-Teton National Forest. Campfires are only permitted in metal or concrete fire rings at developed recreation sites. Portable gas stoves and enclosed metal stoves with spark arrestors are allowed.

Weather Outlook

Monsoonal moisture is expected to increase this week, with 30–40% chances of wetting rain today and up to a 50% chance of over one inch of rainfall between Monday and Thursday. While rain could assist firefighting efforts, incoming storms may also bring gusty and erratic winds, complicating suppression activities.
