Move over, HGTV, Grand Teton National Park just wrapped a full-on “campground makeover edition” at Jenny Lake, and the results are ready for their close-up.
According to the park, the upgrades are all about safer stays and easier access, meaning smoother paths, better signage, and setups that are friendlier to campers of all ages (and knees).
The upgrades aren’t just cosmetic, they’re all about safer stays, smoother rides, and happier campers (plus one very disappointed bear population).
Here’s the highlight reel:
✔️ 13 new accessible water spigots (and shiny new water lines) so you can refill bottles without Olympic-level squats.
🐻 48 new elevated bear-resistant food storage boxes — thanks to the Grand Teton Foundation — to keep your snacks safe and Yogi Bear sad.
🚴♀️ Widened pavement + a new bicycle connector lane so bikes and cars can finally stop reenacting “Fast & Furious: Jenny Lake Drift”.
🛣️ Road repairs and fresh paving because even campgrounds deserve a little spa treatment.
🔢 Reflective campsite number signs so you can actually find your site after that “one more drink” around the fire.
These upgrades are ready just in time for the late-summer camping crowd. So whether you’re in it for the sunrise paddle, the wildlife photo ops, or just the bragging rights that you survived a night without Wi-Fi, Jenny Lake is officially open for business, with a little extra polish.
📍 Pro tip: Book early. A “newly renovated” Jenny Lake is about to become the hottest reservation this side of the Snake River.
